Goliath Must Fall

In the story of David and Goliath a giant stands in the way of an entire people from experiencing freedom.  The giant diminished and demoralized the people to the point they were frozen; unable to move forward and experience the life to the full God wanted for them.  Do you have a giant in your life? Does fear, anger, rejection or even comfort stop you from getting to where you really want to be, even need to be in life?  Based on the book by Louie Giglio, Goliath Must Fall is a series that doesn’t just wish our giants would fall, but it is a declaration that our giants can’t stop us from living the life of freedom God wants for us! Those giants in our lives…MUST fall.

Week 1

Dead but still Deadly

Todd Gaston | April 15, 2018

Giants can linger in our lives. When we thought they were defeated it seems as if they keep creeping back up intimidating us, demoralizing us, defeating us. Whether it’s been 40 days or 40 years we can get fixated on the giant, giving it more power and authority in our lives. It’s time to silence the voice of our giant and turn up the volume of the voice of Jesus! Freedom begins today.

Anger Must Fall

John Cook | April 22, 18

Most people wouldn’t say they are an angry person. Anger sometimes comes out overtly, but it can also lurk under the surface in our lives. Whether we bury it deep down with unforgiveness or blurt it out with rage it, anger can burn down relationships. But when anger is met with the grace and power of Christ it cannot rule your life! Instead you find freedom. This week anger…MUST…fall.

Fear Must Fall

Andrew Segre| April 29, 2018

More than tight spaces, spiders or public speaking, fear can be a giant that taunts us. Each day with its cousins worry, stress and terror, fear can be the biggest giant that we face. But fear can’t stand the presence of God. It can’t stand in opposition to what God wants to do in our lives.  It didn’t for David and doesn’t have to for you.  This week fear…MUST…fall.

Comfort Must Fall

Todd Gaston | May 6, 2018

Comfort might be one of the most dangerous giants of all. Our culture teaches us that we need to be comfortable, safe, and secure. We can spend our whole lives striving for those things but then realize we could have accomplished so much more. Do you want to leave a legacy? The purpose of life is not to arrive at the end safely. The giant of comfort beckons us to conform, but God calls us to make a difference! This week comfort…MUST…fall.

Rejection Must Fall

Susan Wanderer

We all face rejection all throughout our lives. It’s the reason why we struggle with feeling accepted or work hard to gain the approval of others. If we live for man’s approval, we will die by man’s rejection. What if we faced this giant of rejection knowing that we’ve already gained the approval of the one that can truly lead us to freedom? This week rejection…MUST…fall.
